Reading the Contexts of Traditional Streets
Reflection
After understanding this project, I have a hard time drawings buildings because drawing buildings is not my strength, especially the existing building with lots of detailing yet I have overcome this problem time by time. Through this project, I have a better understanding of Jalan Tun H.S. Lee and have acknowledged the history of the site and the types of the architectural facade. Furthermore, I have gained the ability to differentiate the physical and non-physical context through diagrams and descriptions. Due to the pandemic, I didn't get to visit the street, therefore, it is a great time for me to analyse the site through virtual visuals to enhance my site analysis skill.
Jalan Tun H.S. Lee
I have chosen Jalan Tun H.S. Lee to do my research. It is a historical street that has gone through countless events and different architectural styles buildings can be seen along the street. Few religious buildings are located in the street which has become one of the significant tourist attractions. Moreover, Jalan Tun H.S. Lee is famous for the food at cafes and in the market. The images below are my outcome which presents all the non-physical and physical contexts of the street.
