Architectural Design IV
This module was guided by Mr Nazmi, Ms Alina, Mr Bryan, Mr Hazazi, and Ms Shahira. This semester, AD IV allow students to explore design based on specific community users within the given context, in the case of applying universal design for disabled users. With the aid of precedents, we are to explore design for human and environmental sustainability by exploiting environmental qualities and conditions.
01
This project centred around the notion of universal accessibility and the spatial experience for the disabled group of users. Materials used and the construction details are important in the design to achieve environmental sustainability and spatial quality in relation to the users' needs and activities.
02
To design a Wellness Center PLUS within the context of Kepong Botanical Garden, surrounded by the neighbourhood of Taman Ehsan. In this project, we are to define a PLUS component for a specific user group based on the issues analysed during the site analysis, proposing a clustered building design using precedents and passive strategies to achieve spatial experiences and a sense of community.
