preliminary studies

This project is to analyse Medan Pasar in a macro and micro context with the use of perceptional theories of Kevin Lynch's legibility and the social dimension. Based on the site visit and analysis, I came out with my sense of the place of Medan Pasar, which is left out and further in the project, I formulate the evidence through diagramming and mapping to represent the ideas and concepts. 2 precedents were chosen as references and ideas for the community centre, and urban block as well as how the building materials or structures were used to withstand the tropical settings and climate.
